Athene Holding Ltd. Announces Appointment of New Chief Information Officer
HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Athene Holding Ltd. (“Athene”) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Gerhard Bernd Recker as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Bernd brings more than 20 years of financial services and capital markets experience to Athene and its subsidiaries (the “Athene Companies”). Bernd most recently served as EVP and Global CIO of Allianz Global Specialty and Corporate AG from 2010 to 2013, based in New York. Prior to that, he was a Managing Partner with Accenture from 1997 until 2009 and a regional manager with EDS from 1990 until 1996 with extensive work experience both in the US and Europe. Bernd will be based in Des Moines, IA, and will be working closely with all of the Athene Companies.
Bernd received a Master’s of Engineering Degree from Technical University of Clausthal, Germany.
